Essential bops from Doechii—Grammy winner for Best Rap Album

The “Swamp Princess” is a Grammy winner now!

Doechii is officially solidifying herself as a household name, and rightfully so!

The versatile lyricist continues to pull out quotable punchlines and captivating visuals that will stand the test of time. Since the beginning of her career, the “Denial Is a River” artist has been carving out a lane for herself that is not only untouchable, but also unmatched.

In November 2024, the Recording Academy nominated Doechii for four 2025 Grammy Awards: Best New Artist, Best Rap Album (Alligator Bites Never Heal), Best Rap Performance (“Nissan Altima”), and Best Remixed Recording (the KAYTRANADA remix of “Ego”). Four categories… not too bad for a first-time nominee at the Grammys!

In February, Doechii became the third woman in history to win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album — following Lauryn Hill (for The Score along with the Fugees) in 1997 and Cardi B (for Invasion of Privacy) in 2019.

While it’s easy for fans to sing Doechii’s praises all day, let’s make sure that you listen to her catalog and fully understand what the hype is all about.

Keep scrolling to listen to essential bops from Doechii that you should definitely be listening to — and make sure to follow the superstar at @doechii on Instagram.

“B*tch I’m Nice”

I mean, it’s in the title — she’s nice! Her breath control, the visuals, the beat… I mean, this is a legend in the making. She already told y’all how great she is, so get with the winning team.

“Crazy”

It’s crazy… how hard this song goes! She really ate with this one.

“Persuasive” (with SZA)

While we could continue to try and persuade you (and we’re not even halfway through the list), this record proves that we don’t need to convince you that much to recognize how talented our girl is. I mean, even SZAsees it. An empowering record with vibrant lyrics and a colorful video to match? Absolutely!

“Yucky Blucky Fruitcake”

“Yucky Blucky Fruitcake” put Doechii on the map for many hip-hop fans. As her career continues to evolve, the track also feels like the perfect origin story for the Doechii persona we’ve come to know and love.

“Denial Is a River”

Doechii embraced her maximalist tendencies with the music video for “Denial Is a River,” which launched her into live performances at mainstream talk shows and grew her audience even more.

“Pacer”

An innovator. If you’re ever upset and need a release, put this record on. I bet once you scream the lyrics, you’ll definitely feel a lot better.

“Alter Ego” (with JT)

The Florida girls are up with this one. Doechii tapped her Florida girly, JT, for a hit that the streets will play out throughout the summer.

“What It Is (Block Boy)” (with Kodak Black)

Despite this being one of her breakout smash hits, it’s still being played in the clubs. She did that with this one, and then she kept it up!

“ExtraL” (with Jennie)

While she’s technically just a featured artist in Jennie’s “ExtraL,” Doechii proves yet again that she has the X factor by announcing her own name, marching into this music video, and turning it up to a whole new level.

“Nissan Altima”

There’s a reason why “Nissan Altima” is one of Doechii’s most popular songs of all time: it’s an incredible bop that anyone can just play and listen to on repeat.
